Our Family

A.B. Puckett - Founder

"Live the questions." --Rainer Maria Rilke

A.B. started Global Connections in 2005 after a trip to Kenya with his family. He came back to the US passionate about two things: first, to help struggling people in the developing world, and second, to help westerners experience the hidden riches and pain of such countries. It changed his life and now he spends his energy encouraging others to follow their passions.

Rachel Thomas - Director of Finances

If Global Connections is a wheel of sorts, Rachel is the hub holding it all together. Born and raised in Columbus, MS (GC USA Headquarters), she graduated from Regent University. She and her husband Billy have a lovely thirteen year old daughter, Kayla.

Anna Terry - Executive Director, U.S.

Anna joined the Family after a GC trip in 2008. She loves to organize and make strategic to-do lists. Her personal passion is building relationships over the barriers of socioeconomic status, generation, and geography. Anna earned an MA in Community Development and Planning in 2004 from Clark University in Massachusetts and now resides in Memphis, TN.

Kyle Davis - Executive Director, E.A.

Kyle and Jessica Davis, along with their two children, live in Limuru, Kenya. Living in Kenya for the last three years, they have developed networks and gained insights into local culture, ministry and life that are invaluable to our operations. Kyle will be facilitating the arrival of volunteers and working to expand and diversify GCs partnerships in East Africa.

Will Porter - Location Director, E.A.

After graduating from Mississippi State, Will spent many years in the corporate world before moving to the Czech Republic to teach English. After visiting Kenya with Global Connections, he decided to make Limuru his new home. Today, he manages many of the day to day operations of our guesthouse and Jamii Moja as well as maintaining relationships with our partner programs. Will most desires to see visitors changed by what they experience in East Africa as they connect with the lives of the local people.

Joe Heritage - Projects Manager, E. A.

Joe Heritage graduated from Furman University with a degree in History. After graduation, he spent a month in Kenya on a short term missions/volunteer trip. He has since lived in Thailand teaching English, and attended Missionary School in Mozambique through Iris Ministries. Joe facilitates development and discipleship programs in Kenya.

Zac Brooks - Design Team, U.S.

Zac Brooks took his first trip to Kenya with Global Connections in 2008. While there, he enjoyed the community of people he worked with at the Limuru Children's Center and Care for AIDS. Zac helps the GC staff with web design, marketing, graphic design and fundraising needs from his home office in Philadelphia. You can see some of his personal designs at ZacABrooks.com.
