Kenya is one of the most fascinating places in the world, and we invite you to experience this nation of extremes. Famed for its natural and wildlife wonders which draws hundreds of thousands of international visitors each year, Kenya also struggles with cycles of drought, famine, political unrest, corruption and areas of poor infrastructure. It is an incredible land of paradox.
Global Connections volunteers will experience the vast natural resources, innovative people, and many struggles of Kenya. Volunteers will serve and learn from the orphaned, widowed, poor, and oppressed while living in an intentional community and having a chance to go on an African adventure or two.

A few practical things:
1. Plane tickets average $2,000 (with a general range from $1700-$2300).
2. The Volunteer Program costs $1595/month (this includes lodging, 3 meals/day, and transportation)
3. A two day safari averages $500—but many cheaper and more expensive options exist (and some prefer not to go on safari).
